Cyber bully stats

I found an article online reporting some statistics about cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is a lot more prevalent than I think a lot of people realize. The article mentions that over half of all adolescents are cyber bullied and 1 in 3 have been threatened online. These stats are a little alarming to me just because of how high they are. It is sad to know that things like this go on in the technology world, but I think the biggest problem with it is that no one knows what exactly to do about it. That worries me because I don't think it is going to ever stop any time soon.

  1. I don't think cyber bullying can be stopped all together, but I agree that it can definitely be reduced! So many children are using technology, but few parents are actually monitoring what their kids are posting, looking at, etc. I think if parents just took the time to see what was going on in their kids' lives it would reduce a lot of these cyber bullying instances.

  2. I don't think that cyber bullying is going to stop. I think it is going to get much worse in the coming years because children will have more time on the internet unregulated. It is sad to know that it will get worse and not knowing how to combat it.
